On March 9, 2019 at 4:27 am the Cross County Sheriff Office and Cherry Valley Police Departments were dispatched to a residence on Cooper Street in reference to a gun shot victim. After making the scene it was determined the victim was shot in the shoulder with non life threatening injuries. The scene was processed and a suspect was identified as Maria Scott. Scott fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. A warrant and affidavit was filed and was arrested this morning by Arkansas State Police in West Memphis, Arkansas after information from the U.S. Marshals. We would like to thank all agencies that were involved in this case.
