 Fugitive and Drug Arrest

On 09/18/2018 Deputy Alex Tuck and Captain Glenn were patrolling CR 135 in Hickory Ridge when they seen a white male walking in the yard of a residence. The Deputies knew the subject to be Dustin Manues and were aware of his outstanding felony warrants with the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office. Dustin Maneus fled on foot but was later apprehended while he was hiding in a chicken coupe at a neighboring residence. Dustin was found to be in possession of 51 grams of methamphetamine as well as a loaded handgun. Dustin was arrested without incident and transported to the Cross County Jail.  The suspect was later extradited to the St. Francis County Jail for his outstanding warrants and a hold was placed with our agency for the charges he accumulated today. The Cross County Sheriff's Office also seized $300.00 in cash and a Honda Accord with this arrest.

Fleeing on Foot (Class C Misd.)

Sheriff JR Smith " I would like to commend Captain Glenn and Deputy Tuck for having a vigilant eye and recognizing a wanted fugitive. This was a great arrest that got more methamphetamine off of our streets.
