                Drug and Theft Arrest

On 07/29/2018 Sgt. Cantrell initiated a traffic on Ronnie Mitchell on Highway 49 in Fairoaks. During the stop Ronnie Mitchell was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant with our Department for theft by receiving. After a consent search was done at Mitchell residence drug paraphernalia and 74 grams of suspected methamphetamine was located. Mitchell was transported to the Cross County Jail awaiting a bond to be set.

Sheriff JR Smith " As of late we have received complaints of drug activity from this suspect in the Fairoaks area. I would like to commend Sgt. Cantrell on a job well done by addressing the public's complaints. This is just another step forward in our quest to remove the criminal element in our county."
