Church Burglary Arrest's

On 04/29/2018 The Cross County Sheriff's Office responded to Butler Chapel Church located at CR 1005 in Parkin. The reporting party stated a door had been pried open and most of their musical equipment that was valued at approx. $2600.00 was stolen. While working in conjunction with the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office it was discovered that they had located a piece of the stolen property from Butler Chapel after they arrested Davan Cochran of Forrest City for multiple Church burglaries in their jurisdiction. A Cross County Detective interviewed Cochran and gathered additional information.Some of the property from Butler Chapel Church was located at a pawn shop in Memphis and we are in the process of getting the property returned to the Church. Davan Cochran was recently released from prison for commercial burglary. As a condition of his parole he was required to wear a GPS monitor. A check of his GPS locations put him at all of the burglaries in which he was charged with. The second individual is Jonathan Murray from West Memphis. Murray is currently at large pending arrest. Both individuals were charged with the below crimes, more arrests are expected.

Commercial Burglary (Class C Felony)
Theft of Property Over $1000.00 (Class D Felony)
