Gun and Drug Arrest

 

On 03/22/2018 Sgt. Clanton with the Cross County Sheriff's Office initiated a stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The vehicle then fled from Sgt. Clanton at a high rate of speed. The vehicle eventually ran into a ditch and the driver and passenger fled on foot. The driver was apprehended after a foot chase and was identified as Paris Wilson (Wynne,27). Upon a search of the suspect a loaded firearm was located. Once at the County Jail narcotics were located on his person. Paris Wilson is charged with the below crimes and is currently being held in the Cross County Jail pending a first appearance in court.
