Drug Arrest

On 01/05/2018 at approx. 1900 hours Deputy Mitleff initiated a traffic stop on a four-wheeler on Hwy 284 E. The operator of the four-wheeler was identified as Elverett Leon Griggs (50,Wynne).  During further investigation 6.4 grams of methamphetamine, 4.6 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located. Griggs was arrested and charged with the following crimes and will have a bond set at a later date.

Possession of Schedule I "meth" Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (Class C Felony)

Possession of Schedule VI "marijuana" Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver (Class D Felony)

Proximity to Certain Facility (Felony Enhancement)

Tampering with Physical Evidence (Class D Felony)

No Headlights (Traffic)

Operating an ATV on Highway (Traffic)
