On Friday, March 19, 2010 six local residents arrested on felony drug charges.

Geannie Watts, age 26 of Parkin, AR; Bruce Jones Jr. age 28 of Parkin, AR; David Canerdy, age 29 of Marked Tree, AR; Kellis Lamar Westbrook, age 51 of Turrell AR; George Morrow, age age 43 of Parkin, AR and Dustin Cody Rose, age 18 of Turrell, AR.

All six were charged with Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine, Possession Drug Paraphernalia with intent to Manufacture, Possession Ephedrine with Intent to Manufacture, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession Anhydrous Ammonia in an Unlawful Container, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor
