Wednesday, July 29, 2015 approximately 9:00 a.m., our office responded to a call from Poinsett County regarding an individual that is believed to have died in Cross County. Our investigation has focused on two individuals who were present when the victim died. Currently, we have two individuals held in the Cross County Detention Facility in connection with this death.

Michael Joe Davis, the husband of the victim, was arrested on one count of murder in the second degree, a class A felony; tampering with physical evidence, a class D felony; and tampering, a class A misdemeanor.

Jerry Wayne Jarvis was arrested on one count of murder in the second degree, a class A felony, for the same death. Our investigation is ongoing.

Both suspects are being held on a $100,000.00 Bond each. Both suspects are scheduled to have their First Court Appearance before Judge Joseph Boeckmann at 2:00 p.m. today, Friday, July 31, 2015.
